"WOW!! I rented a cabin on the ocean side of the hotel, and it was WONDERFUL hearing the ocean crashing from my bed each morning and evening. I live in Guatemala, so my standards for facilities have been affected accordingly. This is a beach cabin with a thatch roof and you CAN SEE through the cracks on the floorboards. This area of Guatemala is HOT all year round, but there is a fan in the cabin which helps immensely. The bathroom was not fancy, and you could see the ground beneath the shower...

"Beautiful views!! There are some hiking and mountain biking trails on the grounds, and a small coffee farm. Besides that there isn’t a whole lot to do so I suggest 2-3 days at most. Breakfast is included in your stay but for all your other meals you only have the choice of the restaurant, which had good food but it is a separate fee. "

"The rooms are clean and nicely maintained, with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. However, the only downside is that there isn't much to do at night. Two nights are sufficient if you're planning to do some hiking, as there's nothing much beyond the view from the restaurant and hiking trails up the hill. The property doesn't have a pool for children, so my kids had little to do; they weren't particularly interested in the view. If you're bringing kids, be aware that there aren't many activities suitable for them. There's a small park nearby, but it caters only to children aged 2 to 6\. "
